A loosely-derived mash-up of a couple stories from Giovanni Boccaccio’s The Decameron—the first and second tales from Day Three—The Little Hours is a raunchy sex comedy by way of a fourteenth century Italian convent. Written and directed by Jeff Baena (Life After Beth), and starring a cohort of top-notch comedy actors, The Little Hours is destined for the Polarizing Comedy Hall of Fame. Full Story

Last summer Now You See Me, the movie about bank-robbing magicians, trucked to over $117 million at the domestic box office, qualifying it as a sleeper hit. Accordingly, it’s getting a sequel, because movies can no longer stand alone. If it makes even the least little bit of money, it’s going to get sequelized (see also: Hansel & Gretel 2: Hahahaha). Full Story

Always forget how beautiful Jesse Eisenberg is and then really love when I’m reminded of it seeing new photos. Here he is shooting Now You See Me in New York with Isla Fisher and Woody Harrelson yesterday. Mark Ruffalo was also on set in the afternoon with Dave Franco. Obviously we all have to see this movie. Full Story

I feel about James Franco the way we’re apt to feel about an old boyfriend – don’t want to get with that anymore but (and don’t lie) you want to know the goods: what does he do, did he gain weight, is there a girl/wife, is she as cute as I am? In Franco’s case, even though he’s no longer at the top of the Five List, the curiosity is still there, and it’s not like he’s receded from the spotlight either. Full Story

Growing back the hair, re-blending the legs

Lainey Posted by Lainey at July 21, 2010 08:26:00 July 21, 2010 08:26:00

LipGloss is f-cking with his hair again. And those legs, the Blender Legs are back. Zac Efron must think they help with opening a movie. After all, 17 Again opened in 1st place earning over $20 million. And back then, LipGloss was working the pre-Bieber. I’m superstitious like that too. And there are higher expectations now with Charlie St Cloud. Full Story
