I may have mentioned before how many times I’ve seen the first Avengers movie – a LOT. Three or four times in the theatre, at least 10 times on planes, maybe more. And many, many more times on television. At least 15 times on television. Every time it’s on TV I can’t change the channel. Full Story

Among superhero movies, Spider-Man has produced among the best (Spider-Man 2) and worst (Spider-Man 3, Amazing Spider-Man 2) examples of the genre. So the three-boot of the franchise, Spider-Man: Homecoming, has to at the very least not suck like the Amazing movies, and at best, hopefully match or even top Sam Raimi’s take. Full Story

Well that’s about to change as yesterday it was announced that he is going to make his directorial debut, and no, he’s not directing himself in a vanity project. Hollywood premiere of Doctor Strange last night. The movie opens in the UK October 25 and in North America November 4 and some project that it could bring in as much as $75 million its first weekend. Full reviews are embargoed until Sunday but early reactions were mostly positive with critics impressed by the visual effects. Full Story
