Big Little Lies, episode 6 is on Sunday. And next week is the series finale. So we’re getting there, we’re getting close. And it’s already been so tense up to this point. If you watch the show (OF COURSE YOU WATCH THE SHOW IT’S THE SHOW TO WATCH!) you’ve seen the impact of those therapy sessions and Nicole Kidman Full Story

Checking in on Riverdale

Kathleen Posted by Kathleen at March 23, 2017 17:14:05 March 23, 2017 17:14:05

Thursdays still belong to Shonda Rhimes but for the past 7 weeks, I’ve ventured out of Shondaland and into a mysterious, perpetually overcast town called Riverdale for an hour every Thursday. Riverdale is back with new episodes next week but to hold you over until then, I’m essentially going to yell at you to watch Riverdale if you aren’t already (but you are, right!?) and break down the highs and lows of the first 7 episodes. Full Story

Ava DuVernay has been working on A Wrinkle In Time. The film’s budget is at least $100 million making her the first black woman to direct a movie of that size. She posted on Instagram the other day that principle photography is now complete and now they’re in post:   Moving out of my trailer on set and into the edit bay. The next phase of WRINKLE IN TIME is about to begin! 🙌🏾 Full Story

On Friday, I opened Messenger, texted Kathleen, and proceeded to ruin her day. I’ve been thinking about This Is Us all week and I’m not the only one —their Saturday night panel at PaleyFest was packed. The show is ridiculously successful in a time when both network shows and small-stakes family dramas are supposed to be dead, so everyone’s watching. Full Story

Lainey Posted by Lainey at March 20, 2017 14:24:47 March 20, 2017 14:24:47

There are two episodes left of Big Little Lies. And it’s been a couple of weeks since I yelled at you about watching it. ARE YOU WATCHING BIG LITTLE LIES? ARE YOU OBSESSED WITH BIG LITTLE LIES? In my limited bubble, we are all obsessed with Big Little Lies. Do you remember when it premiered, when I pointed how some critics dismissively called it soap operatic? Like Girl Sh-t on TV? Therefore not to be taken seriously. Full Story

And barefoot, as she makes history at the Canadian Screen Awards, winning three different CSAs, one for Best Actress – Film for The Other Half, acting in Orphan Black (her fourth statue in a row for the role), and another for producing the show. Orphan Black was named Best TV Drama. Still, it didn’t seem like she was expecting to go three for three. Full Story

As we are so fond of saying around here, boy sh*t is the best sh*t and today we’ve been given a helping of late night talk show host boy sh*t. If you haven’t heard, The Late Show with Stephen Colbert has been steadily gaining ground in the late night ratings thanks to Colbert’s political comedy and consistent satirizing of Donald Trump. Full Story

Unleashing his lingering ire toward Bette Davis, who was a crucial player in the fall of the Old Hollywood studio system, studio boss Jack Warner (Stanley Tucci) bellows, “That C*NT!” And later, ushering Bette Davis and Joan Crawford into her lavish Hollywood estate, Hedda Hopper (Judy Davis) grandly proclaims, “Welcome to the house that fear built. Full Story
